Women are supposed to be respected and thought of as one who is chaste and sacred. Women embrace the purity of motherhood. I am sure that there is no man in this world who has yearned the comfort of a woman atleast once in a life time. But yet look at the way women are depicted in our marketing endeavours. There are very few ads we can see without a woman in it. All this because every woman other than maybe ones wife and mother is looked upon as a commodity. Men no longer respect the sanctity of a woman. They look upon her as an object of desire. When they look at a girl it is not the beauty of her character or the power of her intellect that they look at but purely her flesh.
It is this that has led the marketing men to use women in their ads in such disrespectful ways. They depict women as chicken headed individuals. This is far from reality. I dont think any girl of this age will be crazy of a guy just because he wears a particular brand of underclothes or a carries a certain scent . Women have not been

30. Sudhit Sethi 9.1.08 4.35 pm
Few days back, Ramki sir sent us an email asking us to give him our views on what we think of MBA as a degree. It will be great if we all can give our views on this topic here at pediawiki. What I think is that an MBA program mainly aims to develop personality of its participants. It does not aim to provide knowledge. Focus is more on increasing intelligence level (ability to think logically) of students. MBA gives us right attitude to look towards various aspects of business. Then, scoring high in MBA courses does not ensure corporate success. If a student scores above 80%, it does not mean that he will be more successful in corporate world than a student who scores 60%. Student who scores high may be more knowledgeable than a student who scores less but may not be more intelligent. And basic intelligence is what business world requires. MBA students should not feel guilty if they score very less in few of the courses taught in MBA. They should not loose their confidence. I

That the society’s approach to the education of the boys is substantially different from that of the girls is an undisputed reality. As observed by the author, childhood and youth have sharply contrasting meanings for boys and girls. The boys when they grow up are able to break free where as the girls come under a regime of vigilance. This is so in all religious groups and alsoin different socio-economic settings. The author has rightly highlighted the situation wherein the privilege of education comes to an end with their matrimony for most of the girls. Generally, they'll be able to pursue their studies after their marriage only with the permission of their in-laws which may not be welcoming. Prostitutes are victims of circumstance, and if we legalize it we are taking advantage of victims. Vanaja has suggested an alternative of producing some other crop instead of tobacco. With regard to this I would like to provide some insights into this matter. In India major part of the tobacco cultivation is done in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, alternative crops are just not feasible as these states are cyclone-prone area and tobacco is the only crop which survives under these conditions. A major proportion of the national income comes from the cultivation of tobacco and is the source of livelihood to many. Sudden ban on tobacco may result in large scale suicide of farmers. In order to switch to other alternatives the farmers have to be provided with attractive packages.
Studies are going on to use tobacco in pharmaceutical industries. Research has proved that Solanesol which is extracted from tobacco can be used as a drug to prevent heart disease. The oil extracted from tobacco seeds can be used in the manufacture of soaps and detergents. If this becomes successful and profitable we can help the farme
